Edited by: Limited Slip on 05/05/2009 19:54:33 I've been wanting to do this for while now.
I am going to select one person from the applicants, that I will guide through their first six months of EVE life and train her/him to become a fearsome PvP pilot. This will include everything from high-sec griefing and ganking, through low-sec piracy, to null-sec warfare.
Other than PvP, I will also teach you how to procure your equipment and initially will provide some myself.
You (the applicant) will have to write a motivational letter either in this thread or mail it to my character in EVE.
Applicants must be: - at least 20 years old - have an EVE subscription - not be older than 4 months in EVE - visciously wanting to kill the rest of EVE population - not Amarr
Feel free to apply, or ask questions!
See you in space,

Hm, this is a neat thing you're doing. Just curious, why not Amarr?
Amarr is the only race I am not skilled to fly. I have no experience with the ship setups, gun ranges, tracking, etc. |

You do not have to join my corp, nor could you even if I wanted you to.
Good question on what I'm offering!
- I will help you remap your crappy attributes, that all first characters inevitably screw up. I had to endure 3 long years until they introduced attribute remapping.
- I will help you in creating a short term skill plan, that will make you a useful member of a gang or fleet.
- I will help determine what you want to specialize in in the future and create a long term skill plan.
- I will provide you with the initial equipment you lose in PvP, so you will never ever have to run a mission.
- I will teach you how to earn ISK in null-sec space.
- I will teach you fitting principles, PvP roles, maneuvering, tactics and strategies for solo, small gang and fleet engagements.
- And last, but by no means least, I will help you make other EVE players envy you, fear you, and be generally sad.
This in a nutshell.
I would however require a proper introduction from you. I also would like to know why I should pick you from the group of applicants. There will be only one applicant accepted, so I expect you to elbow your way in!

if we are antisocial to a point where we do not interact with you will that still consider us potential candidates?
will there be "tips" be given out to those who apply?
and what would happen if we attack and kill your trainee after you pick them will that be cause for you to rethink the decision you made for your trainee?
You can not be too antisocial for me to accept you. I will accept you even if you don't contact me. I think...
Tips? Like to cab drivers? No.
My trainee will die several times, in varying situations and will not get emo about it. Also, I will not announce who my trainee is.

Originally by: Admiral Tom haha dude you seem like angry about this like it counts towards serving of you community service :) No but good luck, instead of 1 trainee consider my youtube suggestion a couple of posts up.
No, I am really enthusiastic about this project and have been wanting to get it started for the last 6 moths. The Youtube idea is great, but I am not sure I want to share my knowledge - and before I am accused of arrogance, this knowledge I do not consider to be my product - with a wide audience. I would like to give one capsuleer a serious edge in her/his career, as an appreciation of what this game has given me in the past 3 years.
I am by no means angry, the antisocial comment merely tries to assure, that pilots that apply are thirsty for the blood of their fellow pilots rather than roid-juice.
Also updated the op with the info from my latter post.

For the last two posters:
Everyone is free to submit their applications and I will judge them based on content, rather than follow my rules blindly. So are you guys going to word an app? |

Originally by: Alpha Rose I dunno man, if you are really that desperate to help newbies become a sergeant for a training corp. To me this sounds like you want someone to be your pet or will steal their soul after they sign or something.
Just cruise the rookie chat channel and find someone who might have some brains. Give them advice and then offer to take them in.
-And the high-sec greifing part sounds dirty to me. Most newbies wont like it. Especially if they are coming from Warcraft or some other game. Normal low and null-sec should be fine.
Yea man, high sec ganking is so dirty, most newbies from WOW won't like it. And yea man, I feed on newbie souls that sign up to me. It's so cool man, you should try it... all their newbie souls taste so good, it's awesome, man.
Btw, what's a sergeant for a training corp? |
